Waterfall Charity has launched a project to give all homes on Pemba Island Tanzania, clean renewable, energy.
600 million people in sub-Saharan Africa lack access to electricity. After dark many rely on expensive, toxic and dangerous light such as kerosene lamps.
Children cannot study and do their homework in the dark. Kerosene flames are harmful to people’s health. Lack of light and electricity makes it harder for people to make a living. Burning fossil fuels just to see at night also harms the environment.
Please help us to light up a home on Pemba Island and give a clean and safe environment for families to enjoy.
A kit costs £60 and includes a battery pack, solar panel, switch boxes, 4 bulbs and USB charging point.
