THIS PROJECT IS NOW FUNDED
Since the orphanage project was set up in 2013, Waterfall has helped to build an infant school, dining hall, and residential quarters. The school was officially opened in January 2015 for local orphans and poor children from surrounding villages and has already reached the capacity of 125 children between the ages of 3-6 years old with four classrooms. The children are fed wholesome, nutritious meals twice a day, which in turn relieves some of the burden from the guardians and relatives who look after them.
In addition, a farm with cows, goats, and chickens has been established in order to provide education and food for the children. A sustainable plan for growing fruit and vegetables has also been put in place.
We have completed fundraising for the infant school and first orphan quarters. We are now raising money for a new primary school block.
